MTIB works closely with MTCBC’s Adult Services and are proud to offer a Supported Employment programme for people with learning disabilities and autism. Our project offers supported volunteer placements at MTIB as well as with local host organisations depending on individual need and aspirations.
We also offer weekly ‘meets’ where we deliver sessions in a range of areas such as confidence building, craft, personal development, coffee mornings and also invite speakers from One Voice, local police, Credit Unions etc. to learn about local issues and support services.
The project has developed a lot of activities, including a gardening project, taken part in Ty Hafan Rainbow Runs, MacMillan Coffee Mornings and many more. All activities are aimed at increasing independence and develop skills for work and volunteering.
